84 stereo cards, 9 x 18 cm. 1) 31 of the Voyage of S.M.S. "Hertha" to East Asia and the South Sea Islands, 1878, photographed by the purser G. Riemer, showing rejected boarding followed by visits to Japan, China, Tonga, Samoa, Vladivostok and Mindanao, including two cards of a wet-collodion darkroom tent, labeled "Tonga Islands, Wa-wau Island, photographic headquarters" - a rare subject and an important document from the colonial period. (3/3) - 2) 13 cards from the Berlin Trade Exhibition 1896, published by the Property and Publisher of the Association for Photography and its Reproductions for the Trade Exhibition in 1896, including a card with a large poster "Living Photography Cinematograph, Entrance 50 Pf.", one of the first cinema shows in Germany, clean image tone, well preserved, important exhibition subject. Eckenrath, Berlin, with English titles, and 4 blue cards by the same photographer, stamped "O.J." on the front, the reverse with poetic quotes from Byron and Doane.
