10 Film Reels, 120 m of Rare 17.5 mm Films with Double-Sided Per

In 1926, the Parisian company Pathé Frères introduced a new narrow-gauge film format under the name "Pathé Rural": A 17.5mm wide safety film. Unlike the 9.5mm format for amateur use, the 17.5mm format was intended for professional use. At that time, only 35mm film on the highly flammable nitrocellulose base was used for cinema films. Strict fire safety regulations governed the sale, transport, storage, projectors, and cinema venues. The new 17.5mm safety film was not subject to these fire safety regulations. This allowed numerous small and very small cinemas to open. Only a few projectors and film copies were still manufactured by Pathé France and Pathé Great Britain. Today, 17.5mm projectors and films are considered rare collector's items. – We were unable to examine the films offered here in detail. They appear to be feature films, titels in Dutch. The condition of the reels suggests that the films are still playable.
