Polichinelle Musical Automaton by Lambert 1890年前后

With Jumeau bisque head stamped in red "Déposé Tête Jumeau, Bté. S.G.D.G. 1" and artist's mark "HV", accented closed mouth, fixed brown paperweight eyes, light brown feathered brows, pierced ears, original grey fleecy mohair wig on cork pate, slender papier-mâché body and bisque hands holding cymbals, on velvet-covered base with  going-barrel movement playing single air "Mandolinata" and causing  the figure to shake his head side to side and strike the cymbals together, dressed in the original well-preserved two-tone costume, upturned shoes and matching bi-corn hat trimmed with lace, ribbons, bells and metal-thread, height 16 ½ in. (42 cm), small repaired flake on lower left eyelid, light freckles in bisque, chip on left elbow – covered by costume, with  tune-sheet, Lambert key and stop/start, preserved in exceptionally fine condition in original maker's box inscribed "Polichinelle....7564", box length 20 ¾ x width 8 ¼ x height 8 in. (52 x 21 x 20 cm), lid split. Very good working condition. Especially beautiful automaton in fine original condition.
