



Probably by Jean-Marie Phalibois, Paris, with two-train clock movement (No. 10911) stamped "Japy Frères & C., Exp. 1855 G. Med. D'Honn.", striking hours and halves on bell, enameled Roman dial, papier-mâché tree with two humming birds turning and flitting from branch to branch, a tanager flapping its wings and a fourth bird bobbing to drink from a faceted glass waterfall, on ebonized base containing going-barrel automaton movement, six boxwood cams and bellows for 'chirping' sound, ht. 29 in.
