(10 cm) and height 5 ½ in. (14 cm.) – The firm of Holmes, Booth & Haydens was one of the leading pioneers in the field of brass and copper work. In addition to photographic items such as Daguerreotypes and illuminants for magic lanterns, the firm also produced objects for domestic life, including cutlery and an assortment of lamps. – A very rare lens by an early American manufacturer – an important document in the development of photography.
