No. 51378 from the Charles Brun era, playing ten popular and operatic airs by Verdi, Rossini, Wagner, Meyerbeer and others, accompanied by six optional engine-turned bells played by gilt-metal Mandarin automata with articulated heads and arms, Gamme No. 5251, with 56 musical and six percussion teeth (both combs complete, three treble teeth and one replaced bass tip neatly replaced), double-spring motor, speed-control and tune-sheet with globe trademark, in attractively figured veneered case with inlaid motifs on front and lid, wd. 22 ¾ in. (58 cm), cylinder 10 ¾ in. (27,5 cm). A later Nicole musical box with lively arrangements and fine resonance. Movement and case in excellent restored condition.
