


Bessière & Schneider (?), of cobalt and cornflower-blue guilloche enamel heightened with engraved and engine-turned details, the back with delicate enameled scene depicting imagery of love and music, the soundbox with chased quivers in relief enclosed by seed pearls, the pearl-set crown decorated with enameled starburst and four ram's head bosses, the golden strings pegged with faceted stone tuning pins, containing single-tune barillet movement (not opened for examination) with stop/start slide and female winding key, ht. 2 ¾ in. (7,2 cm), with suspension loops and chain (working condition, missing five pearls, possible inconspicuous enamel repair on one soundbox). With key. - References: Eduard C.
