No. 2564/3608, playing 6 airs, with 110 teeth in comb (complete), bass teeth on the right, double-tipped extreme bass tooth, brass comb washers and bedplate, bedplate and comb both stamped "Rzebitschek in Prag", instant-stop, polished walnut case with external controls and tune sheet of "F. Rzebitschek, Musikwerk-Fabri kant, Bethlehems-Platz Nro. 251, Prag", wd. 18 ½ in. (47 cm), cylinder 12 ¼ in. (31 cm), superb restored playing condition. With original wood-handled key, additional tune sheet and leather-covered traveling case (back seam split). A large and unusually fine Rzebitschek musical box that was built to impress. The manufacturer information sheet, decorated with 4 embossed gilt medals - including one for an exhibition in 1831, praises the full, rich tone, precise arrangements and length of play of Rzebitschek musical boxes.
