Reversible Brooches and Photo Jewelry, 1860 onwards

Velvet box 24 x 11 cm, lid with panoramic photo of an English city scene under glass, inside is: 1) One-sided gold-plated (?) pendant 33 mm with enamel photograph of Mark Twain, with 2 small ruby-like stones, with hallmark on the back. – 2) Bracelet made of braided hair, with medallion 30 mm and albumen picture of a small boy. – 3) Brass brooch 45 mm with rocailles and albumen picture of a lady with high braided hairstyle, with pendant on the back. – 4) Brooch 60 mm, probably gold-plated, with delicately colored ambrotype of a pleasant older gentleman with sideburns. – 5–7) 3 small reversible brooches from 45 to 55 mm with albumen pictures of young women (one with child), on the back one with sister, one with braided lock of hair and one with an older gentleman (probably the father of the child). – And: 8–10) 3 large reversible brooches 65 mm with ambrotypes of a young man with rosy cheeks (on the back the father?), a gentleman in his prime (on the back empty) and a lady with a hood (on the back a miniature carving of a forest scene with in the middle a loose stag with a leg missing). – And: 11) Violet photo porcelain cup, height 73 mm with a portrait of a lady, saucer is from KPM.

布雷克拍品等级是为了方便竞买人判断拍卖品的成色而设置的。布雷克等级用1到6级来标注外观和功能的成色，(从非常好到非常差)。 在目录图册里用括号里的2个数字来表示，前一个数字表示外观成色的级别，后一个数字表示功能成色的级别。如(3/2)表示外观成色是3(满意的)，功能成色2(好)。 成色 定义参照下列标准： 1 - 非常好 (未使用过，没有使用痕迹) 2 - 好 (新，极少的使用痕迹) 3 - 满意的 (普通的使用痕迹) 4 - 及格的 (明显的使用痕迹，某个非主要部件是后配的) 5 - 有缺陷的 (极明显的使用痕迹, 某个主要部件是后配的，功能上有缺陷，需要修理) 6 - 非常差 (严重破损, 缺少重要部件)
