Model of a System Photogrammetric Camera, 1945 onwards

Basic-part shutter assembly: Rear lens focal plane shutter for T, works, compatible with three sliding optical cones based on the Eastman Kodak K-24 Aircraft Camera. Film magazines: Three rollfilm magazines for 140 mm wide aerial film on 67 mm wide reels for 135 x 141 mm format. First cone for standard angle lenses with plane glass: Eastman Kodak Aero-Ektar 2.5/178 mm no. EE 10655, stop-down to f/16, glass still good under point light, minimal age-related deposits inside, cleaning marks on the rear lens. – Second cone for wide-angle with plane glass: Taylor, Taylor & Hobson Cooke Wide-Angle Anastigmat Series VIIB 6.5/82 mm no. 344919, glass good to clean under point light, stops down to f/45, illuminates the format, albeit with vignetting at the edges. – Third cone: Unmarked lenses, no. 414213 5.6/14 inch, aperture up to f/16, optical cone interchangeable for: 2.9/8 inch, and no. 255593, aperture up to f/11, rear lens element is made of yellow glass. Both with age-related deposits on the inside. – Note: A post-war attempt to repurpose existing modified aerial cameras as inexpensive system cameras for the reconstruction needs of terrestrial photogrammetry, using rollfilm on a plane glass. Initially used for documentation in military operations, later for reconstruction. A fine example for any exhibition where swords are turned into plowshares.
