2 Microscopes by Ernst Leitz in Wetzlar

1) Large-size microscope, dated 1897, original lacquered brass, height 13 ? in., fully equipped with 3 eyepieces (nos. 1, 3 and 4) and 3 signed objectives (nos. 3, 6 and a 1/12 oil immersion) in signed brass containers, triple-revolver, coarse adjustment, fine adjustment with micrometer scale, removable and swiveling condenser, tilting stand, signature on the base "E. Leitz Wetzlar No. 40696", in very good mechanical and optical condition, the case contains the original delivery card "Wetzlar, 19 March 1897", which shows that the microscope was sold at the time with the eyepieces and objectives present here; the box also bears the device number, as does the delivery card. – And: 2) Medium-size microscope, 1892, original lacquered brass, height 11?? in., 2 eyepieces (nos. 3 and 5), 2 signed objectives (nos. 7 and 1/12 oil immersion) in similarly signed brass boxes, draw tube coarse adjustment, fine adjustment, removable and swiveling condenser with iris diaphragm under the stage, tilting stand, signature on the base "E. Leitz Wetzlar No. 21009", in good mechanical and optical condition, in case.
