Paris, hand-colored lithograph of a cavernous room with village scene visible through an arch, two pigeons roosting in beams on the upper left side and a lady leaning into the room from a window on the right. With 1 ¼-inch (3,5 cm) enameled Roman dial, two-train movement striking on a gong and two-air pull-string cylinder musical movement activating: two blacksmiths working with hammers, a third operating bellows while a fan turns, a farrier shoeing a horse and a dog wagging its tail. In refinished giltwood and gesso frame. 29 ½ in. (75 cm) x 36 in. (92 cm), cylinder movement an old replacement, modifications to the linkages, good working order but clock not tested for accuracy.
