No. 16491 and "B" with single "fat" cylinder playing six airs identified by a former owner as "Barber", "La Traviata", "Les Huguenots", "Fra Diavolo", "Semiramis", and "Oberon", comb of 135 teeth (complete) and mandolin groups of up to 5, substantial brass movement with knurled screws for locking cylinder-changing mechanism, burr-walnut veneered case with kingwood banding, carrying handles, two-part inner lid with rustic carved sound fret and miniature oil painting on the upper side and gilt-tooled leather surface on the underside, width 33 ½ in. (85 cm), cylinder: 14 in. (36 cm) x 3 1/8 in. (8 cm) diameter. Overall good playing condition, 16 unobtrusively replaced teeth, some dampers need adjustment. An impressive interchangeable overture musical box!
